The arrival of Bruce Brown to the Denver Nuggets arguably served as the most critical role player acquisition last offseason. The swingman shocked the NBA after inking a team-friendly deal worth $13.2 million for two years. This signing made by Denver left the majority wondering how the Brooklyn Nets were able to let go of their significant piece who served as their primary defensive ace for two seasons in a row.

With this, Brown had a recent appearance in the Dan LeBatard Show and dropped a major revelation in his free agency case last summer.

“To be honest, I don’t think it was the Nets front office, organization made that decision. But because what I’ve heard, they wanted me back,” he revealed.

Brown was asked who he thought had influenced his exit to Brooklyn, but the veteran just aired a shady response.

“Can’t say too much about that.”

Still, his departure served as a blessing in disguise for him as he was able to escape the eventual demolition made by the franchise to their Kevin Durant-Kyrie Irving lead core in 2022-23 midseason. His current partnership with the Nuggets can’t even be more perfect for him also as he and the club are now just four wins away from their maiden title.

Brown’s past tenure with the Nets was filled with drama, but his present and future endeavors are truly bright and worth salivating given that he elevated his value upon serving as one of the engines of the Nuggets’ current playoff success.
