A video of what looked like Kyrie Irving snubbing Dillon Brooks appeared after the Grizzlies beat the Mavs 112–108 yesterday and now Irving has responded.
The video shows both the players taking off their jerseys and Irving hands his to Brooks while going in for a hug.

When Irving releases, he walks away and doesn’t have Brooks’ jersey in his hand and of course, NBA Twitter had a field day with it.
“I saw that after the game,” Irving told reporters. “I’ll probably get it next time. Probably next time. Not this time,” Irving said during his postgame press conference when asked about his interaction with Brooks. “I was really onto the next thing, thought process-wise.”
Brooks said that he will sign Irving’s jersey himself and put it up on his wall, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.
Brooks has become known as a bit of an NBA villain after plenty of run-ins with rivals and even cameramen.
He received his 18th technical foul during the game for taunting the Dallas bench and when asked about it postgame, Brooks explained it was directed at Mavericks forward Theo Pinson.
“I just want to let him know, he’s a cheerleader,” Brooks said. “Same class, I grew up watching him play. He was a great player. Now he gets paid to cheerlead.”
Brooks certainly isn’t making any friends anytime soon.
